Solar Power

Description:
Solar power is the cleanest of the energy sources, since it is mostly using energy that would be added to the Earth's energy budget regardless of its use or not. However, it's not without its drawbacks. The planet's population start to become annoyed by the proliferation of collectors, and the resulting shadows, after a while. Furthermore, the introduction of orbital solar reflectors causes a great deal of anxiety about the dangers of terrorists using them as weapons.

Effect:
Each solar power facility built gives a 1% increase to efficiency of all commodities, up to a maximum of 15%, and an increase of 2 consumption points in each leisure commodity for each build above 12 (stops after 15 builds). After 7 builds disaffection increases by 1% for each build, and after 12 builds this increases to 3% for each build (for example, 9 builds would give 9% dis, while 14 builds would result in 14 x 3 = 42% dis).

NOTE: For reasons known only to themselves, the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Artifacts and Relicts (SPAAR) seem to have taken a particular interest in solar power collectors, making it difficult to demolish them once they have been built.

Can be built at leisure level.
