HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FED

Next week on Wednesday January 10 it will be Fed’s birthday. And it’s a significant one – the game will be thirty years old. Wow. It’s incredible to think that the journey into Federation DataSpace started all that long ago.
Since then the game has been running continuously, in one form or another, on many different systems. I think it’s the only game that can boast that because although the original multi-player game, MUD, started first and is still going, it had some gaps where it wasn’t available.
I’ll talk some more about Fed’s birthday in next week’s star, and include some anecdotes from the various incarnations of the game.
