PICTURE OF THE WEEK: SOLAR FLARE

I never tire of looking at pictures of the boiling fury that is our sun. Here’s an amazing image of a massive solar flare, taken on September 10. It comes from a giant active region called AR2673 and is the fourth flare to come from that spot this month.
