SPYNET INVESTIGATES MY POOR NEWSDROIDS

Following the shock of my newsdroids being infected with ransomware last week (see http://www.ibgames.net/fednews/2017/170528/official02.html) I sent for the experts to find out who had dared to extort money from the demi-goddess. It is commonly considered that the best in the security business is SpyNet and since I always believe in using the best, naturally I turned to them.
I gave them two jobs: first, to upgrade the newsdroids’ security so this couldn’t happen again, and second, to find the hackers who dared to do this to my droids.
For the last week, their team have been hanging around the office getting in the way. They’ve been poking and prodding at the two droids, running diagnostics and installing virus software to ensure they can’t be infected again. This has been very disruptive and as a result I’ve had to step in and do far more of the work on publishing this issue of the Star than I would normally do.
It’s not been easy but I still have the touch, so with a huge amount of effort I am able to bring you a proper, full-sized edition of your favourite newspaper. I didn’t even break a nail.
SpyNet have assured me that the worst of the disruption is over. Now they have inoculated the newsdroids against further infections, they can return to their own headquarters and continue their investigations remotely by tracing where the groats I had to pay out as a ransom were sent.
They have promised me a report in the next few days, and I’ll tell you what they discover in next week’s Star.
