A few weeks ago in the UK we were thrilled to hear a news story about an audacious gang of jewel thieves who had tunnelled into a security facility and raided seventy-two safety deposit boxes. It was like something from a heist movie.
Police investigations are ongoing, but meanwhile, one journalist set out to gain the skills and techniques that would be needed to pull off the job. He learned how to case the joint, how to abseil down a lift shaft and how to drill through thick concrete.
