A NARROW ESCAPE FOR CABBAGE

When compiling the list of star systems to be axed in this round of removals, one system snuck onto the list that I would have been very sad to see go: Caunicularium. It’s owned by Superbunny, who is one of my alts, and its only planet is called Cabbage. Very remiss of me not to have logged him into the game for so many years, but then the planet is only there for historical interest.
I wrote the planet Cabbage way back in the mists of time, on Genie Fed, when the things you could do when you designed your own planet were much more limited. I wanted to showcase all the different kinds of effects you could use when building a planet, and Cabbage, populated entirely by rabbits, showed what was possible. This was in the days when the Workbench was an online module that you typed your information into live. Events were very primitive and only allowed you to do a few things.
Time passed, and when we did the big rewrite that resulted in the current version of the game, I used the new Workbench tools to recreate the planet. Since I never intended to do anything with its economy, there was no need for its owner to actually show up in the game, which is why it ended up being labelled as an abandoned system.
Luckily, I spotted the name system name on the list before it was too late, and hastily logged Superbunny back on briefly, so the planet Cabbage is safe for another 5 years.
