REAL LIFE NEWS: CRASHED SPACESHIP FOUND ON MOON

by Hazed

NASA scientists have identified signs of a crashed spaceship on the far side of the moon. No, it’s not an alien ship, it’s one from Earth that was deliberately crashed into the surface of the moon earlier this year.

The Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) was sent into orbit last September in order to determine whether lunar dust is found high above the surface of the planet. This, apparently, had been a source of much argument among scientists. LADEE showed which side in the debate was correct – the dust was not lofted into space.

Once its job was done, LADEE was crash-landed onto the surface, with great care taken to avoid any of the historic Apollo landing sites. Its final resting place lay on the rim of a crater called Sundman V, which is just around the edge of the area visible from Earth.

Now the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) has spied LADEE’s final resting place. By comparing images of the area taken both before and after LADEE’s demise, it’s possible to see the impact crater caused when it crashed. You can see this by following the source link below.
