ADVERT OF THE WEEK: GOING TO THE DOGS

Dogs in Vienna have a treat in store when their owners take them for a walk, in the form of an innovative form of advertising. These billboards are aimed at canines.
The posters, which are at canine height, are imbued with the scent of doggy treats and so will tempt the dogs to linger by them. The slogans read “WUFF RRWAFF WAU!” Presumably the idea is that this encourages their owners to find out more about just what is being advertised by scanning the QR code on the ad, since the dogs themselves won’t be able to act on the advertising message, not being possessed of wallets!
