ALAN TAKES THE AXE TO MORE ABANDONED SYSTEMS

The last set of abandoned star systems I told you about are now history, so it’s time to line up the next set for the chop.
Abandoned star systems are those where the owner has given up and let them go to rack and ruin by not visiting for five years or more. Without a hand on the metaphorical tiller of the economy, you get riots and panics and slums and depressions and general all-round unpleasantness.
You can tell whether a star system has been abandoned by looking at the system display, and if a player has been gone for at least five years SpyNet reports they’ve been absence for longer than Diesel has been serving Old Peculiar.
Working our way through the alphabet we have now reached the letter L:
- La Comedia - planet Inferno
- Liquor - planets Beer, Bourbon and Scotch - Esperanza Cartel
- Masik - planet Norsaq
- Mount Olympus - Oplanet dysseus
- Ombey - planet Valisk
- Onyx - planets Amora and Onyx Prime
- Optimal - planet Ceer
- Rage - planets Phyxius, Plotikos and Serapis - Food cartel
These are all members of the Sol cartel except for the two marked otherwise.
The star systems will go at some point in the next couple of weeks, so make sure you don’t have any depots, warehouses or factories on the planets because they will just vanish when the planets do.
