REAL LIFE NEWS: NAPPY APP KEEPS BABY HAPPY

A new app developed by Kimberly-Clark, who make nappies (or diapers), will send a tweet to parents when baby needs changing.
The TweetPee is a bird-shaped humidity sensor with a wireless antenna that clips onto the front of the nappy. When it senses an increase of moisture in the air, it assumes that the baby has cut loose, so it tweets the parental iPhone telling them to check their tiny tot.
Sounds quite useful, but it goes further than that. The app also monitors how many diapers baby is using, and lets you order more. Well, it has been developed by a nappy manufacturer!
It'll be tested in Brazil in a couple of months, but the company doesn't plan to make it available for purchase. This is a shame, and makes me wonder why they bothered!
