Earworms are those snippets of songs that you just can’t get out of your head. They can be infuriating, because they are usually just one line repeated over and over. And over. Again and again and again. For hours. Until you go mad!
Now researchers have come up with a way to get rid of them. The answer, they say, is to solve some anagrams. The mental effort required will force the earworms out of your working memory.
