NEW CODE SAFELY IN

Finally, after a lot of shenanigans, Alan got the new code into the game which prepares the game for its move to new virtual servers in the cloud. The persona file and the billing records were all successfully converted to their new formats, and it’s all running smoothly.

Now we have to set up the new systems on the cloud-based virtual servers, and then we can move everything over. When that happens there will be an outage but we will give you plenty of warning in a future edition of the Fed2 Star.

Questions are now being asked about what sort of cloud we will be using: cirrus, cumulo-nimbus or stratus. I’ll keep you posted!
