REAL LIFE NEWS: SEE, I TOLD YOU SHOPPING WAS BAD FOR YOU!

by Hazed

Gotta love euphemisms. I learnt a new one this week: "competitive shopping". This is from a news report about an incident in a Walmart stall in San Fernando Valley on Thursday night.

The "competitive shopping" incident ended up with twenty people, included children, injured after a scuffle broke out.

The cause: a mace attack.

It kicked off just before shopping was due to start. Customers were waiting to buy Xbox gaming consoles and Wii video games. They'd been queuing for hours. The store was rammed full, the queues filling all the aisles. Crowd control wasn't working.

Suddenly a woman started spraying pepper spray into the faces of people in the queue. That's one way to win the "competition"!

The news report doesn't say whether she succeeded in getting the gadgets she was after...
