REAL LIFE NEWS: STUDENTS SELL FACE SPACE

by Hazed

Times are hard in the recession, and here in the UK students are feeling the pinch, with university tuition fees due to rise astronomically next year.

Graduates find themselves saddled with massive debts, and right now there are few jobs to be had. So what's a poor person to do?

Two entrepreneurs have come up with an answer: they are selling their faces as advertisement space! They're offering to paint their faces with company logos or private messages for a day at a time. "For the next 366 days, our faces are your faces," it says on their website http://www.buymyface.com.

Ross Harper and Ed Moyse came up with the idea while they were studying for their finals at Cambridge University. "Coming towards the end of our course, we thought that we could start job hunting or do what we'd really like to do," Ross explained.

The face paint might be temporary, but every day they upload a picture of their ad-faces to their website.

"We're aware this is quirky," commented Ross, "but that's the charm of it."

Nice idea, but I don't think their friends and/or lovers are going to enjoy going out with them!
