REAL LIFE NEWS: BOASTING TEEN LANDS IN JAIL

by Hazed

And the final story about crime for this week features my favorite kind of dumb criminal: the ones that get caught because of their own stupidity.

A 17-year-old from east London has just been jailed for three years for carrying a loaded gun on a train, and all because he boasted about his weapon.

A member of the public phoned the cops after he overheard the teenager talking about having a weapon while waiting for a train at Chatham station. He followed the youth into a waiting room and started to chat with him, then asked him if he was carrying a gun.

A risky question, I would have thought, because the response could be to have the weapon pointed at you! But this teen pulled out the pistol, a semi-automatic Browning, and handed it over to the man - warning him to be careful because it was loaded.

The 38-year-old brave passenger handed the weapon back, then left the room to call the cops. Armed response units boarded the train at Higham station and arrested the wannabe teen gangster.

The gun was loaded with a single bullet. It was later found to have been used in three gang-related shootings in east London.

The yough pleaded guilty to possessing a prohibited firearm and ammunition and was jailed. The brave passenger was praised by the judge and given a reward of £350.
