MOONSHINE RUNNIN?

by Jessecka

Customs agents were seen this last week hot on the heels of a broken down spaceship, chasing it across the Solar System. The ship, its port of origin unknown, was spotted bouncing from LP to LP, setting down only long enough for unsavory looking fellows to remove a few crates of unknown contents before blasting off in a cloud of black fumes. As the ship scampered off Rhea, Customs agents closed in like feral animals looking for a snack. The spaceship accelerated with a speed that did not match the rustic exterior, eventually careening off the link in a shower of sparks before blinking out.

Several reports have trickled into the newsroom, from persons claiming to know the reason for the violent space chase across the galaxy. The Galactic Administration has failed to release a statement, indeed, they have acted like the incident never occurred.

One such report, taken from a elderly human female on Mars, claims that the ship was carrying black market moonshine from the Havefun Cartel, and the GA was upset for the loss of taxes on such a delicious commodity. She looked to be quite into the cups herself when she was interviewed, the reek of gin flowing from her lips.

Another claim, from a young mouse on Pearl, said the shipment was a new found type of cheese that had not been registered for sale or consumption outside of the Cheese System. The little fellow, who begged to not be named, was busy hiding a plain brown bag behind his back.

Yet another human, an arrogant young man on Earth, is adamant that the ship was spreading bio-engineered TQuarks across the Solar System. He says that a small terrorist group who call themselves "How About Leaving Us Alone" or HALUA for short, bio-engineered the Tquarks with an evil virus, in a last ditch effort to interrupt the Comm Systems of the galaxy, plunging all of us into a nightmare world where we can only hear our own voices, and those voices that are in our heads.

The exact nature of the cargo this ship was carrying is still unknown, and with the Galactic Administration pretending ignorance (although that might not be pretend), we most likely will never know.
