REAL LIFE NEWS: GOOGLE GIVES UNWELCOME NEWS

Many people enjoy putting their names into a search engine to see what is being said about them on the web. But when a student at the University of Florida googled himself, he got a shock - he discovered he was wanted for murder!

Polk County Sheriff's Office erroneously released Zachary Garcia's photo in connection with a murder that took place in September. But the man they wanted was actually called Zachery Garcia - just one letter different - and he was the one they charged with the crime.

"I was just very shocked to find my picture and the article saying that I was convicted of a felony murder charge," said Zachary-with-an-A, "and I was just very shocked and angry that someone put my name up there and said I did something I didn't do."

"Everybody makes mistakes," Garcia added. "I work at Publix and I might get somebody's sub (order) wrong. But for somebody to get (the photo of a suspect) wrong...it's not a sandwich, it's somebody's life you're playing with."

The crime for which Zachery-with-an-E was wanted was a burglary. Two teenage boys broke into a house, while two others waited outside. One of the homeowners was able to grab his gun, and shot one of the burglars, a 15-year-old, who later died. That meant that because the death occurred during the commission of a felony, all three surviving teens were charged with murder. Much more serious than a sandwich.
