REAL LIFE NEWS: MYSPACE LOGON CATCHES BURGLAR

by Hazed

Oh joy, another dumb criminal story. This time the moron in question is a teenager from Florida. He was arrested for burglary after a caretaker for a home on Sugarloaf Key saw somebody sitting on a couch inside the house, and called the cops.

By the time the police arrived, the intruder had scarpered, but he'd left behind a black backpack, a bag of drugs, food wrappers and a soda can. Very messy.

But what allowed the police to identify him without question was that they found a computer in a bedroom which the idiot had left turned on - and logged into MySpace. Thus they were able to figure out with ease that the man they were looking for was Robert Rupp.

He was arrested after police found him with screwdrivers in his pocket close to the house. He told the cops he had entered the house because he was cold. He's now been charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools and theft, and is likely to be sent somewhere warmer.
