REAL LIFE NEWS: BULLET IN HEAD FOR FIVE YEARS

A Polish man living in Germany lived for five years with a bullet in his head, without realizing he had been shot - because he had been drunk when it happened.

The 35-year-old man went to the doctor to have what he thought was a cyst removed, because it had been giving him recurring pain, but when the medic examined his head he discovered the cyst was, in fact, a bullet. The wound had healed around the ammo leaving a lump.

When he was told about the ammo in his head - a 5.6mm projectile - the man recalled that he had received a blow to the head around midnight at a New Year's party 5 or 6 years ago, but he'd forgotten about it because he'd been very drunk at the time. He told police that he remembered having a sore head, but that he wasn't really one for going to the doctor.

Police said they were not treating the incident as suspicious as the bullet might have got lodged in his head when a reveller fired a gun in celebration. See, I told you firing guns into the air was dangerous!
