REAL LIFE NEWS: BE CAREFUL WHO YOU TXT

by Hazed

A new poll shows that sending embarrassing texts to the wrong person is very common in the UK - 20% said they'd managed to send a racy text to the wrong contact. Those under 25 are the most prone to this mistake, with 43% of them admitting to sexy texts going astray. Men and women were equally careless. I have no doubt polls of texters in other countries would show similar stats, too.

What's more, nearly 10% said they'd been caught "sexting". All this comes from a poll conducted last week on behalf of a British company called SellMyMobile.com. Keir McConomy, the Managing Director, said, "Text and picture messaging has now become so second nature that people are less cautious, leading to messages frequently going astray."

The survey also found that one in five failed to wipe personal content - contacts, messages and pictures - off their phones before selling, giving away or recycling them. That's an appallingly relaxed attitude to security, and its worth bearing in mind before you text a sexy pic of yourself to somebody else... you have no idea where the picture may end up!
