PICTURE OF THE WEEK: MARTIAN TIRE TRACKS

Last week, the Martian rover Opportunity became the longest running mission on Mars, having lasted well over six years and surpassing the previous record holder, Viking 1. This picture shows the rover's tire tracks crossing an expanse of Martian desert.
