REAL LIFE NEWS: DO MOBILE PHONES GIVE YOU BRAIN CANCER?

by Hazed

No, they don't. The results are in of a survey which began in 2000, supervised by the World Health Organization and carried out in 13 countries. They show that mobile phone users do not have a higher risk of developing brain cancers. In fact, the study showed that they have a slightly lower risk, which is odd, and has lead to the researchers saying that they need to do some more research.

That's one way to keep yourself in work, I suppose!

The fact is that the amount of radiation given out by a mobile phone is not enough to make any changes to your brain. The most it can do is heat up your ear a bit.

I think it would also be obvious if the number of people getting brain tumors and other cancers had increased dramatically over the past 20 years, in line with the massive increase in mobile phone use. They haven't. So it's common sense that mobile phones don't give you brain cancer.

If only that were the end of the story... but no, this study has been branded "inconclusive" so more research, paid for by the taxpayer and by the mobile phone providers (who will pass the charges onto the customers) will be carried out, because people just want to be scared about something!
