WELCOME BACK TO DIESEL'S DUMP

Did you know Diesel has a website of her own? Well, not quite the Diesel you see in the bar on Mars, but the character upon which the Fed2 Diesel is based.

Let me explain.

Before Fed, when the idea of an economic multi-player game was just a twinkle in Bella's eye, I was a member of the UK computer network called Compunet. This was where Fed2 later had its debut. When you joined the system you were given an ID made up of your initials and some random numbers, like FC7812, but you could pay to change that cumbersome and meaningless ID into something more like a nickname. I did that, and chose Diesel as my handle.

Under that name, I wrote some humorous articles which I posted onto Compunet in an area called Diesel's Dump. The network closed, Diesel's Dump vanished, and the articles languished on a back-up floppy sitting on a dusty shelf next to my computer.

Later - much later - I resurrected Diesel's Dump and put it on the web. But when I changed my ISP some years ago, I lost that web site and never got around to finding it a new home.
