REAL LIFE NEWS: REPOSSESSED STEAKS

Turning from beer to steak, diners at a restaurant in Germany were startled recently to have the steaks snatched off their plates by the meat supplier, because of an unpaid bill.

A meat supplier made a delivery to a restaurant in Aachen but the owner told him that he didn't have the 400 euros ($535) in cash to pay the bill. A furious argument broke out, so the supplier took back the meat he had delivered - including steaks that were already being marinated or actually being cooked in the kitchen. But that still didn't cover the bill, so he went into the dining room to collect the meat off the plates of startled diners.

Police were called after he left, but they took no action because they believed no offense had been committed.
