REAL LIFE NEWS: GAMES CAN CAUSE VIOLENCE

by Hazed

Some people take their online games very seriously. A Chinese player discovered this when he was stabbed over a game dispute, and ended up with a knife in his skull!

Xiao Wei, 17 years old, was playing Counter Strike in a net cafe when he and his friend Huang were accused of using a "wallhack" - that's a cheat that lets you see the opposition through walls. The two of them were dragged outside and beaten by their disgruntled rivals.

Huang explains, "My left arm was stabbed through by them, and when they had gone, I found Xiao Wei was lying on the ground with a knife in his head."

Despite the blade in his skull, Wei was able to walk to a nearby hospital where it was successfully removed.

You can see a picture of the x-ray showing the blade going right through his head, and read more details of the injury and its effects, here.
