REAL LIFE NEWS: HOW NOT TO HELP YOUR BOSS CATCH HIS PLANE

by Hazed

Secretary Claudia De La Rosa made a mistake that meant her boss was in danger of missing his flight from Miami Airport. She didn't want that to happen, so she came up with a plan to ensure he got to the airport on time.

She phoned in a bomb threat.

And just to make sure the message got through, she also sent an email to American Airlines repeating the threat. Consequently, staff at Miami Airport spent four hours checking the plane and the luggage which had already been loaded aboard.

The good news: the boss was in time for the delayed flight.

The bad news: once they realized the threat was a hoax, investigators checked the IP address of the computer used to send the email, and traced it back to a flat where police found De La Rosa. She's been charged with false reporting of planting a bomb and could spend 15 years in jail.
