KEEP ON VOTING

I've been nagging you for years about voting for Fed2 on The Mud Connector site, and many of you have diligently voted every day. For new players who don't know what this voting thing is all about, here's an explanation. (Regular readers can skip to the next paragraph.)

The Mud Connector is one of the best and busiest web sites about online games - specifically, text games - so having a presence on there is a very important way for us to gain new players. Keeping high up the rankings of the most popular games ensures that we stand out from the thousands of other games with listings on the site. The rankings are calculated by counting votes - one vote per day from an IP address. The votes are zeroed every two months so everybody starts all over again.

Over the years, TMC have made various changes to the voting system, and sometimes those changes benefited us, and sometimes not. Their most recent change has been to ask that players who vote be registered with them - and as a result of that change, we've zoomed up the charts! Previously we used to hover around the 13 mark, rising to 11 towards the end of a two month cycle, but now we are solidly established at number 8. I can only assume that a lot of the other games that were previously in the top ten were manufacturing votes somehow!

So now we're happily in the top ten, let's push to see if we can rise any higher. How about getting into the top 5? We can do it if you all vote, every day.
