PLANET HOPPING REVIEW

Somma in the Haidec System
Hook in the Fishing System

Buttered Rum in the Stash System
by Trilleth

Another week without Joe being around all the time and I started to go stir-crazy on Sulawesi. Time for a space trip. I packed up my snazzy ship, changed into a brand new outfit, and headed out for the star lanes.

SOMMA

My first stop was an ice world. Ice world? I am fond of skiing on Titan, so I decided to keep an open mind, even as I zipped my down-filled jacket firmly SHUT. I found most of the things that I was looking for, including a frozen place where I was briefly misplaced, but the cold eventually got to me, so I ran back to my ship and headed for what I hoped were warmer climes.

Food: 7 The Ice Cube lounge isn't bad... and it's WARM.
People: 6 They have... blue hair? I couldn't resist and had to dye my hair after encountering this interesting race.
Bed: 9 I found a large, king-sized bed. Okay, it actually looked like someone's personal quarters, but who cares if you're cold and tired??
Water feature: 8 Ice is frozen water, right? Not quite what I had in mind, but I really should try to not be so picky. Maybe.
Shopping: 5 It exists, but it's very dry and utilitarian.

OOC: Lovely, well-done planet. Really like the incorporation of Fed themes into the planet.

HOOK

I wasn't entirely certain I wanted to explore a planet devoted to something as fishy as, well, fishing, but a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do. Fortunately, in spite of the extreme variety of fish items, the planet didn't smell all bad, so I was able to explore the entire planet. If you are a fan of catching slimy, smelly things with a sharp hook, this is the planet for you.

Food: 8 I like seafood, but it was actually difficult to find food. I did find this *hiccup* bitter called Shell-vi-scalpel, but I would NEVER indulge while I'm reviewing a planet.
People: 3 The fishermen would NOT share their fishing spots with me. That's just not friendly in my book.
Bed: 0 Sigh.. fishermen get up so early that maybe they don't feel the need for a real bed. I couldn't find one.
Water feature: 9 Okay, it does require a lot of water to fish.
Shopping: 8... no 7... no 5. Oooh, a souvenir shop! I love souvenirs... wait. They're all fish stuff. Bah!

OOC: Get to know Silvos here - the man behind the character. :)

BUTTERED RUM

Ahhhh, I felt almost like I was home. There were comfortable seats, food everywhere, and nice people (except the nurse... what's with the thermometer??!). They know how to play Euchre here?? Yay! And the spa... oh, sorry, where were we?

Food: 9 Crumpets, tea, and lots of alcohol. What's not to like?
People: 8 Smiling, friendly, and cheerful... only that nurse left me a little nervous.
Bed: 7 Um... bed. I slept during my massage at the spa. I can't rightly remember if there was an actual bed or not, but I was certainly relaxed! There's also the bed & breakfast...
Water feature: 8 There's a pool house? Only the thought of missing Joe (more) got me to leave at this point.
Shopping: 6 The shopping is largely limited to tea and bakery items, but there is shopping.

OOC: Read carefully to get out and enjoy the carefully crafted environment. :)
