A BEGGING LETTER

It's the end of the month, which means it's the time when I have to write out a check to pay for Fed's upkeep. It's quite a low-maintenance entity: it doesn't need expensive champagne, jewelry or fur coats. All it requires is the computer the game lives on, and its connection to the internet, and its happy.

Since we turned Fed2 free, we've relied on players buying slithy toves to provide enough funds each month to pay Fed's bills. As individuals, you don't have to pay to play, which is great for those of you who are feeling the pinch in these hard times and can't afford to pay for your entertainment. But collectively, some of you need to find some cash to give to us so we can keep the game running.

So this is a begging letter. Please, buy some slithy toves. In return, you can get a range of good stuff in the game, such as the indispensable navcomp, as well as the knowledge that your generosity is helping the game.
