HOW TO MAKE SURE YOUR EMAIL GETS LOST

by Hazed

If you are sending email to feedback or to me or anybody else at ibgames directly, and you want to ensure that we do not receive it and it goes unread, there's several things you can do.

1) Send the email to feedback@ibgames.net. Yes, once upon a time, this was the correct address but we changed it well over a year ago to feedback@ibgames.com (because the .net address was on too many spam lists). Now, anything sent to .net is liable to be just thrown away, so it's the ideal place to send email you want to get lost.

On the other hand, if you do want us to read your mail and respond to it, send it to the right address - feedback@ibgames.com.

2) Don't put anything special in the subject line. I get over a thousand pieces of email each day, most of it spam, and so do the other people at ibgames. In order to make sure genuine items don't get buried under the mountain of rubbish, I have my mail program filter anything with a special code in the subject line into a folder for stuff I will always look out. If you don't bother to use this special code then your mail is almost certain to be ignored.

On the other hand, if you do want your mail to avoid the spam mountain, use the special code: put Fed2 somewhere in the subject line and you too will be given the special treatment.

3) Try to sell me a rolex, offer me a cheap loan, or include a picture of a lady who really wants to make friends with me, and your mail is sure to be identified as spam.

On the other hand... well, don't send me spam!
