REAL LIFE NEWS: METAL BAR ACCIDENTALLY LEFT IN BOY'S HEAD

by Hazed

It's just as well teenager Donovan McGowan didn't try to fly anywhere recently, because he would have set off metal detectors for sure. The lad from Glasgow, Scotland, has just discovered that he's had a four inch chunk of metal in his head, left over from an operation three months ago!

In March, Donovan was hit by a car, and had an operation at the Southern General Hospital, Glasgow. Surgeons somehow managed to leave the metal bar in his head. Ever since, the 18-year-old suffered from blinding headaches, and he also had a big lump on the side of his head. Eventually he demanded a scan and then doctors had to tell him, "This is quite embarrassing but there is something metallic like a tube still in your head."

I am not sure embarrassing is exactly the word I would use! That's one hospital to avoid in future.
