FEDERGORIES

Thursday February 28
by Trilleth

Five players showed up on the Federgories channel to play, with DJMayhem showing up for commentary. Andrew, Angelfowl, Jazir, Joe, and Myrrh all tuned-in to play.

Round one was things with S that you find in the bathroom. Most of the players signed in with normal items like shampoo, shaver, and suds. Joe won a free service to clean his bathroom after he revealed that his bathroom is full of slime. Eeeew!

Round two was TV shows that start with N. Andrew and Joe cancelled each other's news out, leaving Angelfowl to be the only scorer with Numb3rs.

Round three was commands a captain might use and, as a Federgories round, was worth double points. Myrrh joined us at this point and everyone made it on the board with double points.

Round four was zoo animals that start with C. Four players paired up to cancel each other out, leaving Andrew the sole scorer with cheetah.

The halfway point of round 5 asked for an article of clothing that starts with P. Angelfowl wasn't sure about "purse?", while Myrrh was very excited about "pumps!" (as he well should be). Since I never go anywhere without a properly matching purse, I accepted Angelfowl's answer and scores sat at 5 for Angelfowl and Andrew, 4 for Jazir, and 3 for Joe and Myrrh. With such close scores, we went into the second half of the game.

Round 6 was another Federgories round, asking for companies that start with L. Angelfowl jumped on her father's Logical Solutions, while Bilbo's Longbottom Leaf Company was so popular it was cancelled out (now I know what the players were smoking).

Round 7 was a line from a song starting with T. Players got a little carried away and gave me a song title instead; since it was a universal mistake, I scored all players. We still had a tight game going.

Round 8 was authors starting with F. I gave out a bonus point if both first and last name started with F. Andrew thought Farrah Fawcett was a writer (she wasn't), and Jazir got the only bonus point for Frederick Forsyth.

Round 9 was the final Federgories round - Federation staff. Apparently DJentsch makes the biggest impact; he was cancelled out. Fancy was also mentioned. For some reason, there was no mention of demi-godesses.

The final round was our bonus round: list multiple events in track and field in 60 seconds. Jazir sent in the most answers (except for DJMayhem, who insisted he wasn't playing AFTER I tallied his answers). After cancelling out duplicate answers, however, there were 2 points for Andrew and Myrrh and 3 points for Jazir and Joe.

In the final tally, Andrew inched ahead with 11 points, Jazir pulled out second with 10, Angelfowl held onto third with 9, Joe came in fourth with 6, and Myrrh made a great late showing with 4.

Thanks to all the players for making it such a fun game. Join me every week on Thursdays at 10.00pm eastern on the Federgories channel for more Federgories excitement!
