REAL LIFE NEWS: BLONDES BURN MALE BRAINCELLS

I don't know if blondes really do have more fun, but according to a new report, they make men act dumber. Researchers found that when men take general knowledge tests, their scores drop when they are shown photos of blonde women.

If you are thinking that the images of attractive blondes immediately drained all the blood out of the men's brains and into their nether regions, well it turns out that is not what it's all about.

It's actually to do with social stereotypes. Because the popular perception is that blondes are dumb, when confronted by one, men feel they are dealing with somebody less intelligent, so they unconsciously dumb themselves down. They were being driven to "think blonde" themselves.

It's another piece of evidence to add to that already amassed which shows just how people's behavior can be influenced by stereotypes. For more info, read this article in the Times newspaper.
