REAL LIFE NEWS: SHOCK NEWS FOR PIZZA LOVERS

The pizzas that Diesel sells - with or without added moose topping - have remained the same price, 10 groats, for centuries. We don't know how she manages to beat inflation but we are grateful that she does!

In real life, however, pizza lovers should brace themselves for a hefty rise in the price of the circular foodstuff, warns Domino's. The cost of both dairy and wheat products have gone up, due to a combination of factors such as bad weather in Europe and Australia, and big demand in China.

Mozzarella is affected by the demand for dairy produce in China, which makes the cheese pricey. Flour is becoming increasingly costly, too, because of the Australian drought and the European floods which have pushed up wheat prices. Domino's say they are shouldering some of the extra cost themselves but franchise owners are likely to pass the rest of the costs onto the consumers.
