WHAT ARE YOU SEARCHING FOR?

by Hazed

There's a new command in the game: 'SEARCH'. This allows you to have a thorough look around the location you are in, to see if there is anything hidden there. Try it, and chances are you won't find anything, because it's really intended to be used in puzzles - and yes, when we let players put events on their planets, they will be able to hide things you have to search for.

Searching is hard work: if you do it on a planet it uses up 10 stamina points, and if you're in space when you search, you'll burn through 10 tons of fuel.

These penalties mean that it won't be practical to do a brute-force search in every single location, just in case something has been hidden there. You should only search in places where you have reason to believe you will find something. There are several ways to find out where it's worth searching: the location description may give a hint about buried secrets, or you might be given information when you talk to a mobile that leads you to search in a particular place.

If you just carry out searches at random you could soon starve to death - or run out of fuel!
