FED PHRASE GAME

Tuesday July 24
by Fancy-Fancy, Mogul of Toontown

Four players joined me in the studio for tonight's edition of the Fed Phrase Game. Butters, Garioso, Djmayhem, and Stiddleficks came to take their chances with the wheel, while Tabbecca tuned in to watch, and Trilleth also came into the studio to watch in person. Everyone interested in watching these game shows from the comfort of their surroundings is cordially invited to tune in to watch. The camera will relay everything that happens in the studio to the channel. I went over how to play for our new players, and when everyone understood how to play, we set the order in which the players would take turns. Garioso earned first in the order, followed by Butters, Stiddleficks, and Djmayhem.

Tonight's first puzzle was a 4 word place (3, 4, 7, and 5 letters). Garioso started it by finding a couple S's, but then called an H not in the puzzle. Butters took over and found a T, but no D's. Stiddleficks got hold of the puzzle and added R, N, E, L, and G before deciding to solve - Joe Bob's General Store - for 2250 points.

Our second puzzle was a 3 word thing (3, 7, and 7 letters), and Djmayhem started it. He correctly called T, R, N, L (for a free spin), M, and A before picking a C not in the puzzle. He decided to use his free spin and chose S, but that wasn't in the puzzle, either. Garioso took over and found a W, but no F's. Butters took over, and after adding a G and V, solved - low Martian gravity - for 1100 points.

Our next puzzle was a 6 word thing (3, 4, 5, 2, 3, and 3 letters), which Stiddleficks got to start, carrying over a free spin from round 1. She tried R to start, but that wasn't in the puzzle. She used her free spin to continue, and found three T's for 1200 points, but then a missing N stopped her. Djmayhem found three H's for 100 each, before missing with an S. Garioso took over and added F, L, M, G (for a free spin), and W, leaving only vowels, and then solved - the full might of the law - for 1900 points.

We had time for one more puzzle, which was 5 word people (5, 7, 5, 5, and 9 letters). Butters got to start this one, and started off impressively, placing the N's and S's, and buying the A and E's, for a net 3100 points, before calling a T missing from the puzzle. Stiddleficks spun a Lose a Turn, and Dj took over. He found two L's and an R before landing on Bankrupt. Garioso took over, with a free spin carried over. He chose F, H, and C for 1500 points before landing on Lose a Turn. Gari used his free spin to continue and added a D, bought the I's, placed the G's, and bought the O's before spinning again and landing on Bankrupt. Butters got the puzzle back with 3100 points, spun once more and placed two M's for 200 each, then solved - Young, smiling, fresh-faced employees - for 3500 points.

That brought us to the end of our allotted time, and I added up the scores. Our final totals were:

Butters: 4600
Stiddleficks: 2250
Garioso: 1900

Congratulations to Butters on being tonight's big winner in the Fed Phrase Game! Kudos also to Stiddleficks and Garioso on solving puzzles, and thanks to everyone who played or watched. We play not only for fun, but also for entertainment. Join us again on August 7 for our next exciting edition of the Fed Phrase Game. And join us also for FEDPARDY! on July 31 and every other Tuesday.
