WACKY WORDS

Sunday July 22
by Catspaws

Having slept through the earlier staff meeting, I decided it might serve me well to show up on time for Wacky Words. So the first call went out at 3:30 for players to come beat Fancy. There was silence. Lots of silence. The call went out again ten minutes later. I think I could hear echoes. Eventually, Nomad showed up and started offering slithies to anyone who could beat him. We ended up with six players...

With the first word of "LIFE", Garioso was able to guess the theme of "Board Games," beating Nomad to the punch. His "Losing In Futures? Easy!" also got him off to an early start with three votes. Butters displayed his favorite pasttime with "Livestock is funny everytime." Rumors abounded with the second word, "CLUE," in which Nomad spoke of "Catspaws likes using everyday" (I do NOT have a catnip addiction!)

With the word, "RISK," we learned that "Royalsims is Silverhawks kin?" and there are "Rats in Sol Kitchens." I need to spend more time in Sol, I think... When the word "SORRY" came up, we learned something we might need to tell Nightwatch about, "Supermayman's Only Regret? Robbing Yodabunny." Maybe September could investigate this for us.

I decided to make things a bit harder by pulling up the word "TROUBLE." Nkir's "Titan rules over Uranus base's lousy exchange" earned him 3 votes, although I rather liked Butters' "To Royalsims: Our united bull leader extrodinare!" (Remind me to send RS some cows.) The final word was "MONOPOLY," which most agreed was a bit hard, although Butters had a phrase almost immediately.

When the scores were tallied, Butters came in third, beating Nomad by 2 points. Nkir, who missed the first two words, came in second, beating Nomad by 6 points. Garioso came in first, beating Nomad by 12 points. Nomad awarded slithies to all three who beat him. (Imagine if EVERYONE had beaten him!)

Join me in two weeks for more Wacky Words fun.
