KEEPING AN EYE ON THE COMMS

Unlike FedTerm's map page, there is no comms repeater on the systems page - there just isn't room with all the other information that has to be displayed. So if you spend a lot of time looking at your planet's details, or flicking through other people's planets, you may well miss important comm messages that come up, or people coming up and talking to you in person, or even buying you drinks. It would be tragic to miss a round!
To help you keep an eye on what's going on while you peruse the planet display, don't forget you can turn on FedTerm's text alert. This will make a noise every time some text comes down to the main screen. Which, if you're not sitting right next to the Sol link or somewhere else where there's a lot of passing traffic, will probably mean there's a comm message you should pay attention to! To use the alert, select 'Incoming Text Alert' from the 'Options' menu.
