NEW VERSION OF FEDTERM RELEASEDby HazedThe new version of Windows FedTerm, which contains the new planet display, has now been released and you can download it from the FedTerm web page. The major new feature in version 2.01 is the planet display, which makes it a lot easier to look at the details of a planet than the basic text planet display you get from typing 'DI PLANET planetname'. You can see a screenshot of the final look of this page here. (And not a trace of Bella's ghastly green ink in sight...) You switch to the new page by clicking on the Systems tab at the bottom of the screen. There is a list of systems down the left of the page, which FedTerm updates whenever you log on. Click on a system, and a list of the planets in the system appears in the box on the right. Click on a planet, and the information about that planet, along with its picture if there is one, appears. Of course, right now, only the Sol system has more than one planet, but that will change with the next rank to be implemented because at Mogul POs get a second planet in their system. FedTerm will automatically switch to the systems page if you type 'JUMP' at an interstellar link. You can then use the systems page to jump to a new system by double-clicking on a name in the list of systems. If you are already using FedTerm then you can download the upgrade which will give you the program file and the planet pictures. If you haven't already got a version of FedTerm on your computer then you should download the whole installation.
