FEDPARDY

Tuesday March 13
by Fancy-Fancy, Engineer of Toontown

Four players joined me in Studio 1 tonight for FEDPARDY!, where I give the answers, and the contestants provide the questions. Captainfuzzy, Ariadne, Sephorin, and Bourbon all joined me there. As this was Sephorin's first time playing the game, I went over how to play for her, and anyone else who needed it. After that, I told the players tonight's categories: R, Matey!, Symbols and Logos, The Rhea World, and Transportation in Fed. The players spun the wheel for the chance to select first, and Captainfuzzy gained that honor. Fuzzy selected Symbols and Logos for 1, and the game was underway.

Sephorin rang in to give the correct question to that answer, and started on the Transportation in Fed category. Ariadne got that, and started Rhea World, which Seph got, and selected Transportation again. They both tried but missed the 2, but Sephorin got the 3, Ariadne the 4, and Sephorin the 5 after Fuzzy responded incorrectly. Seph went back to the Rhea World for 2, and Ariadne grabbed that one, and then found a Daily Double under the next answer. She decided to risk 2 points, and this was the answer:

The crystal caves feature numerous formations, including one in the Grand Hall resembling this creature.

After a long silence, she tried, "What is a pegasus?", but that was incorrect. Nobody tried the subequent 4-point answer, and that brought us to the break, and Sephorin in the lead with 8 points, to 3 for Ariadne, and Captainfuzzy in the hole with -5, meaning he would get to select first in Double Fedpardy.

Fuzzy started Double Fedpardy with Rhea World for 10 to finish off the category, and everyone passed on it. So he started the R category next. That got some players ringing in. Ariadne collected the 2 and 4 point answers before finding the other Daily Double. With a 9-8 lead, she decided to make it worth 3 points, and this was the answer:

The nickname for the giant dome on Rhea where vast herds of animals graze on the grass covering the ground.

She couldn't come up with the Range, though, so it cost her 3 points. No one tried the 8 or 10 point answers, leaving us with Symbols and Logos. Sephorin got the 4 pointer, and Ariadne got the 6 to forge a tie, which Ariadne then broke by ringing in and getting the 10 point answer at the end. The scores after Double Fedpardy were:

Ariadne: 22
Sephorin: 12
Captainfuzzy: -5

Ariadne and Sephorin advanced to Final Fedpardy, with the chance to wager as many of their points as they desired. I thanked Captainfuzzy for playing tonight, as his night was done. To help Ariadne and Sephorin decide how much they wanted to risk in Final Fedpardy, I gave them the category of *Wearing of the Greenery*. When they had placed their wagers, I had explained how Final Fedpardy would work, and they verified they were ready, I presented tonight's Final Fedpardy answer:

This character sports a dress made out of living flowers, complete with floral scent.

We started with Sephorin in second place. She wrote down, "Who is Freya?" for her response, but that was incorrect. Her wager was all 12 points, dropping her down to zero.

That left Ariadne. She responded, "Who is that tabi chick on Pearl?", but that wasn't it, either. It's Tracey on Phobos who has the dress described. Ariadne's wager was 3 points, leaving her with 19, and making her this week's Fedpardy champion. Congratulations, Ariadne!

Join me in Studio 1 for our next exciting edition of FEDPARDY! on March 27, beginning at 10.00pm eastern. And also join me there on the 20th for the Fed Phrase Game.
