CRYPTOGRAMS

I would like to say that I am an Engineer through sheer genius and my brilliant understanding of how my exchange works. I could say that... but anyone who knows me can tell you I am an Engineer because I worked until eventually I was able to scrounge up enough builds to promote. It was sheer grunge work, not brilliant brain power, that earned me my standing as one of the Engineers of Fed. So to honor the other Engineers, the ones who know how their exchanges work, I dedicate this week's games to them.
We gathered in the Hair of the Dog Pub on Catseye to drink Spiked Cream and play Cryptograms. I was joined by Fancy, Desaxman, Gwaptiva, Captainfuzzy, and Nut. Fancy, Gwaptiva and Desaxman solved the first puzzle, with Nut discovering 2 of the engineers listed.

Fancy, Gwaptiva, Desaxman, and Captainfuzzy all solved the second puzzle, which involved resource commodities, the specialty for Engineers. (Nut had to bail on us - I think a squirrel was chasing him!)

The first two puzzles were too easy, so I had them pouring over the lengthy DI SYSTEMS display to seek out resource planets. Fancy, Desaxman, Gwaptiva and Captainfuzzy figured them all out.

The squirrel returned the Nut in time to pick up 3 more points on the next puzzle, the same number of points Captainfuzzy garnered. Fancy, Desaxman and Gwaptiva all solved the puzzle.

Gwaptiva had a one point lead over Desaxman going into the final puzzle (Fancy, of course, was far ahead of them both) but Desaxman ruined Fancy's perfect game and snagged second place by finishing the last puzzle first. So Gwaptiva came in third by a single point, with Captainfuzzy fourth and the Nut in fifth.
