REAL LIFE NEWS: WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN

If you live in Colorado or Wyoming you may have had a spectacular light show on Thursday, as pieces of a spent Russian rocket reentered the atmosphere and showered parts of the western US with space debris.

Bits of the Russian SL-4 spacecraft that survived the blazing descent intact most likely landed in southwestern Colorado and northwestern New Mexico, so if you want to go hunt for souvenir rocket-chunks, that's where you need to head! Although NORAD advises against handling any that may be found, and says you should inform the local authorities immediately. Spoilsports!

Air Force Major April Cunningham from the US Northern COmmand said, "No damage has been reported and the debris is not believed to be hazardous. It's also important for the public to understand that the reentry of pieces from this rocket is complete, so in other words, they're not expecting other pieces to fall.
