REAL LIFE NEWS: A NASTY CASE OF WEB RAGE

by Hazed

After road rage, now we have web rage. An Internet user from London has been found guilty of what police have described as the first web rage attack.

Paul Gibbon got into a row online with John Jones and the two exchanged insults. But not content to leave it online, Gibbons used personal details that Jones had posted online to track down his antagonist's home address. He then travelled 70 miles to Clacton, Essex, and attacked him with a pickaxe handle and a knife, leaving him with a cut throat - which fortunately was not fatal.

The pair met in a Yahoo chatroom called Islam 10 - apparently they both had an interest in the Muslim faith. Their exchanges soured after Gibbons accused Jones of spreading rumours about him, which was when he decided to take things off the net and into the real world.

The offence happened last December, and came to court recently. Gibbons pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding and is awaiting sentencing.

And I thought the feuds we used to get in classic Fed were bitter!
