REAL LIFE NEWS: MORE IDIOTIC CRIMINALS

by Hazed

Here are two more stories of stupid criminals who are their own worst enemies.

Man Proves His Guilt

So you're on trial for stealing computers. What's the one thing you should not do if you want to be found innocent?

Get caught stealing more computers from the very courthouse where you are on trial!

Jon Houston Eipp was convicted of various theft charges recently after prosecutors say he stole computers from the courthouse while on trial for computer theft. Sheriff's Sg Jerry Niess said, "It just amazed me that someone could be in the middle of a jury trial for a burglary involving computers and immediately get involved in another burglary at the Civic Center." Yes, quite.

He could be facing nearly five years in prison.

Man Accidentally Turns Himself In

An Italian thief accidentally turned himself into police following a bag snatch. He lost his mobile phone while robbing an old lady, and his 77-year-old victim handed it over to police when she reported the crime.

When he realized he had misplaced his phone, he called his own number and arranged to meet the finder - who turned out to be the police, luring him to a meeting where they could arrest him.

The man had recently been freed from prison under a mass pardon issued by the Italian goverment meant to ease congestion in jails. By the time police picked him up using the mobile phone lure, he had already robbed another old lady and was riding a stolen scooter. Guess that amnesty really worked!
