ON THE WEB: INTERESTING THING OF THE DAY

When researching the story about possible names for Xena, I stumbled across a fascinating site called Interesting Thing of the Day. The author writes articles about... well... interesting things, in a very accessible style. Recent Things he has written about are a steam car that was developed about 80 years ago, the stone balls of Costa Rica that some idiots think must have been made by aliens, and mirages of "fairy castles" in the air. Plus of course articles about Pluto and Xena.

The site's title is a bit misleading; articles are published two or three times a week, not absolutely every day. I spent more time than I had intended browsing through back articles, and I'll make a point of going back there once a week to read new stuff. The author is a great writer and makes everything sound fascinating. Take a look for yourself on the Interesting Thing of the Day website.
