Now that planet owners can buy a ship registration facility, so that spacecraft bought on the planet will be registered to the merchant fleet, you can see how many ships are registered to a planet by looking at the planet display - it now includes a line that tells you how big the merchant fleet is (if there is one).

To save you having to check the display for every single planet, looking for information on merchant fleets, there is a new command: 'DI REGISTRY'. This lists all of the planets which have a ship registration facility, and tells you the size of their merchant fleets. This will not only make it easy for POs to boast to each other (my fleet's bigger than your fleet, na-na-na-na-na) but it means if you want to upgrade your ship, you can see which planets will get the most benefit from your custom.
