TENSIONS RISE OUTSIDE THE LINK

by Hitman

Reports are coming in from all areas about disagreements and shady deals outside of the Sol GA jurisdiction. Industrialists and Manufacturers making hush-hush deals with a certain slippery fellow at the back of cafes and bars, resulting in factories and depots popping up on planets overnight with no notice given to the planetary council or to the planet owners themselves. As the tension rises between these two groups, spynet reports are flooding in about a number of factories being confiscated to add to the planet's production. Neither group can seem to agree, Founders claiming that they are only appropriating unauthorized factories and depots, Indys and Manus claiming that their property was wrongfully seized. The aftermath from this can sometimes be heard over the comms.

Also, in related news, gossip across message boards and in local pubs tells of bribes being offered to Indys and Manus by Founders to build factories for the purpose of being seized. No such illegal activity has been proven yet. Although one planetary customs official in the GA was reported to file a formal petition for jurisdiction outside of Sol, that same official was later seen circling the interstellar link near Titan.

Rumors of an Intergalactic Trading Federation being formed out of a loose alliance between several CEOs and a number of Founders is on the tips of the tongues belonging to those that have their fingers on the pulse of the markets. With all of the unrest outside of the link, it is hard to say if this will happen or not.

One thing is for sure, this reporter is happy to be sitting in the safety of his office right now.
