STUVERATS: RAVEN - KREEL SYSTEM

Stu's reign as overlord began long ago with his rule of the planet Circadia, an unusual world where none of the land was flat. This layout appealed to some Sol emigrants seeking to escape Ming’s tyrannical rule. Life on the planet was relatively peaceful thanks to the Circadian Syndicate, the planet’s governing body. But unbeknownst to Stu and the law abiding citizens, a small piece of the Syndicate was cooking up a plan that would ultimately result in Circadia’s destruction.

Using DNA from Stu’s loving wife, SoSayCin, Syndicate scientists mastered the ability to make clones of her and decided to use them for their own personal benefit. The genomes, who were given the nickname "Cinisters," matched the original person perfectly by the millimeter on the outside; though according to preliminary reports, the inside had a bit of a margin of error. Despite not being given any kind of authorization from Stu for this, more of the Syndicate went aboard with the project as each week passed and it is believed (though not confirmed by official accounts) that Circadia’s population would eventually include nearly 1000 Cinisters. Those involved did all they could to keep Stu oblivious to the matter. But in the end, it was moot. The Cinisters had their own ideas.

On one fateful day, all of the Cinisters escaped from the labs and revolted against the Syndicate. The plan was flawless as much of the Syndicate troops were caught completely off guard. The insurrection waged for only a few days before the Syndicate realized they were fighting a losing battle. During this time Stu evacuated the civilians off the planet and onto the flagship of the Circadian fleet, the Raven. Only his most trusted Syndicate officers and soldiers made it aboard alive. All those who deserted him in favor of the Cinisters were either killed by their own creation, or shot on sight by Stu himself when they tried to board the Raven. Once he was satisfied and the ship was filled to capacity, Stu gave the order to set course for the interstellar link. Shortly afterward, he received a transmission that the Cinisters had infiltrated Circadia’s nuclear arsenal. The remaining population of now on board the Raven managed to escape death; but not before watching the entire planet explode in one big bang just seconds before jumping through the link.

The Raven ended up in the then uncharted Kreel system. The planet itself was believed to be barely hospitable. With the engines worn out from the jump, Stu and the rest of the passengers decided to make the Raven their new home instead. As years passed, the size of the ship increased exponentially and became comparable to a small planet. While not completely self-sufficient, the hard-working crew have managed to transform the Raven from a typical assault ship, to a thriving community floating in space. Stu still worries at times though, as he does recall seeing another ship leaving Circadia just before it went boom...
