FEDERATION 2 - PLAYER REVIEWS

SIERPINSKY LOUNGE ON SILK

Reviewed by Zardoz

Like most Planet Owners, I prefer to spend my Fed hours in my exchange, monitoring my production, reviewing my shipping schedules, and updating my spreadsheets. Today was exceptionally busy, I had a new planet and exchange, and the spreadsheet demands were especially challenging. So you could imagine my irritation when my wife told me that she needed me to accompany her on a tour of restaurants so she could write a review. "But Love, my usual attire of a t-shirt and shorts won't meet the dress code of some restaurants." But my protests fell on deaf ears, and while grumbling the whole way to the Landing Pad, my wife dragged me to Sol, for a tour of restaurants. We spent the entire day traveling from planet to planet, sampling various dishes ranging from delicious to absolutely horrid. We talked about the dishes, our opinions, and slowly, my thoughts drifted away from my planet's exchange, and focused increasingly on enjoying the time with my wife.

We wound up in Sierpinsky Lounge on Silk, and were served a wafer of baked pastry on which was arranged three large steamed centipedes with a garnish of a chopped blue vegetable and a dish of glossy-black paste, which gave off an acrid aromatic odor. I looked down at the plate and felt my stomach begin to turn. But then I looked up, and saw the sparkle in her eyes as she delighted in the novelty of an insect bartender. I heard the almost musical lilt of her laughter and thought back over the wonderful time we spent together. I smiled and thought that I could never consider any meal to be horrid if I were served it in the company of such a lovely woman. I picked up my fork and while gazing at my wife's dazzling smile, I took a bite of the steamed centipede. It was delicious.
