MEET AND GREET WITH DJENTSCH

Examine Magnate Djentsch
You see a semi-young man with a military hair cut, hazel eyes, brown leather jacket, black t-shirt, blue jeans and cowboy boots. Across his back he has a baseball bat straped there like a sword.
Djentsch is in posession of a multi-dimensional keyring made by the prestigious TenBrane Corp. If you look carefully you can see the glow of the macro-superstring logo. It has on it an executive washroom key. The ornate key is a much sought after key to the Galactic Administration executive washroom, and is genetically coded to its owner.
Djentsch is wearing:
A moon charm. It is a tiny sphere made out of a substance so dark it is almost invisible. Just one segment of the sphere glows silver, representing a new moon.
Djentsch is married to Jessecka

Djentsch looks at himself

Angelfowl says, "Nice outfit"

Meteu asks, "Are we ready to get started?"

Angelfowl asks, "Should I duct tape him now?"

Trilleth asks, "Are you really that brave?"

Jezz says, "I brought nails and a hammer just in case"

Meteu says, "Have at it:) Make sure you get some across his eye brows"

Duct tape at the ready Liakell has left.

Djentsch says, "i get to play the bad guy here"

Djentsch says, "trust me sis, you won't need it"

Djentsch chuckles

Angelfowl says, "He wouldn't hurt me, I'm his sis :P"

Angelfowl says, "aw come on, I got this cool duct tape too"

Djentsch asks, "are you sure about that?"

Trilleth buffs her nails and didn't get duct tape.

Liakell pulls out a length of tape.

Djentsch says, "ok, just to let you know, my lag is kicking in. so please bear with me"

Angelfowl smiles, "okies :)"

Djentsch walks over to Diesel and borrows her baseball bat

Salvador says, "It will take that long to type and edit my questions"

Angelfowl sits down and pouts.

Djentsch grins

Trilleth whispers something to Angel.

Djentsch says, "well, my clock reads 11:02"

Meteu says, "Thank you for joining us today Dj."

Salvador says, "I have 6 after"

Angelfowl sneaks over and puts duct tape on the chair that Dj's sitting him, so now he's duct taped to the chair, and darts off so she doesn't get hit.

Djentsch says, "i'm glad that we could work out a time for this Meteu"

Meteu asks, "What brought you to Fed, for those of us that haven't read your last Meet and Greet?"

Djentsch asks, "Fed, or Fed 2?"

Trilleth quietly low-fives Angel, then adjusts her halo.

Angelfowl giggles returning the low-five and sits back watching.

Djentsch takes Trilleth's halo and uses it to tie up Angelfowl

Meteu says, "Fed"

Djentsch pokes at Meteu

Angelfowl grumbles glaring at her brother.

Djentsch says, "well, back when AOHell was starting to get popular as was the internet, I signed into it, and started to look for something to do"

Trilleth snickers and doesn't need the halo.

Angelfowl gives Trilleth a look, and grumbles about it being her fault.

Meteu asks, "Was there anything specific that drew you in?"

Djentsch says, "I came across the banner for Classic Fed in on the their game page and thought that I'd give it a try"

Djentsch says, "i like to be challenged mentally and thought that Classic Fed would do that"

Meteu asks, "Have you been challenged by Fed and Fed2?"

Jezz says, "I think you succeeded, mentally challenged one"

Jezz ducks

Trilleth bites her tongue.

Djentsch chuckles

Jezz says, "trilleth said it"

Angelfowl keeps her mouth shut

Djentsch says, "yes I have been challenged in both versions"

Meteu asks, "What did you or do you find the most challenging?"

Djentsch says, "in Classic, it was mostly the puzzles that were challenging. until I had do deal with the old style planet editor"

Zardoz waves and smiles at Trilleth.

Meteu smiles, "Was that enough to drive you to drink?:)"

Djentsch says, "with Fed2, I'd say that for me, it was the rank of trader"

Djentsch says, "not at all"

Meteu says, "That seems to be the stumbling block for a lot of people"

Angelfowl exclaims, "It's fun though!"

Djentsch says, "Trader, or drinking? ;_"

Salvador says, "Bah"

Meteu asks, "Which planet, besides your own would you say is your favorite?"

Djentsch says, "I would have to say, and this isn't because I'm married to her, Jessecka's"

Zardoz whispers It's because he is afraid of her.

Djentsch says, "now granted, I've not been to all the planets in Fed2"

Jezz chuckles

Angelfowl giggles

Meteu asks, "What makes her planet your favorite?"

Djentsch takes the borrowed bat and thawps Zardoz

Trilleth nods at Zardoz. "Although it is a nice planet," she whispers across Jezz.

Djentsch says, "now if you were talking Classic Fed planets, then i'd have to say Art's planet was my favorite"

Meteu asks, "The planets served the same functions in Classic as here or was there more?"

Djentsch says, "with Jessecka's planet, she has taken things to a level that you normally can't do without having an event to get it there"

Djentsch says, "the planets server the same basic functions here as in Classic. at least from what I can tell"

Djentsch says, "sorry, that should be serves"

Djentsch never was any good with spelling

Trilleth bites her tongue.

Djentsch says, "unless of course you're talking about the puzzle planets. of which, i've no knowledge of"

Salvador can't say anything about that

Meteu asks, "Lets talk about your staff duties for a minute, what is it that you do on staff?"

Djentsch picks up the severed tongue and hands it back to Trilleth

Jezz hands Trilly a tube of Fix-a-tongue

Trilleth wrinkles her nose. Eeew.

Djentsch says, "my Staff duties. well, for me they cover several different things"

Salvador snickers

Djentsch says, "first and and in the front, I'm part of the test team"

Angelfowl mutters something like: "Now you know why I don't roll my eyes anymore, Dj use to play dice with them."

Zardoz whispers to Jezz, "Staff Doodies?"

Meteu asks, "What does the test team do?"

Trilleth hands Jezz Angel's duct tape.

Djentsch says, "which means that the other members of the team and myself are the first one to try out the new features that Bella codes into Fed2"

Jezz nods to Zardoz as if she understands that bit

Djentsch says, "a good example would be when player planets first went into Fed"

Djentsch says, "the Planet Marina was the First player written planet to be linked into the game outside of Sol"

Meteu smiles, "So you have the first planet:)"

Zardoz says, "Outside of Sol."

Djentsch says, "it was used to ensure that all the features we were use to useing in the Sol system works the same outside if Sol as they did in it"

Meteu asks, "Did you find any issues?"

Djentsch says, "as well to ensure that the jump point sent you to where you were trying to go instead of getting you lost, like it did in Angelfowl's story"

Djentsch says, "the only issue we came across at the time, was players not being charged for fuel... at first"

Angelfowl nods, "Darn it, and they had to put it in?"

Djentsch asks, "what sis, did you really think that I'd forget about your story?"

Angelfowl winks, "That was a long time ago, thought everyone forgot about it ;)"

Djentsch says, "there were other issues as well, but once they were found, they were corrected within days of being found"

Djentsch doesn't forget about much

Angelfowl nods

Angelfowl asks, "What other staff duties do you have?"

Djentsch slaps Angelfowl

Angelfowl says, "ouch"

Trilleth says, "To hit people with a bat and sic Nightwatch on 'em."

Angelfowl asks, "What was that for?"

Djentsch says, "sis, that is Meteu's Job"

Trilleth hides from the abuse.

Angelfowl rubs her cheek, "Well, Meteu is in the bathroom,"

Djentsch chuckles

Angelfowl says, "I am his assitant (sp?)"

Jezz covers her mouth with her hand

Djentsch says, "'but to answer the question, one of my other jobs is to act as a Mod for the game."

Angelfowl nods

Angelfowl says, "Hard job sometimes"

Djentsch says, "which means that I TRY to keep the peace in here in Fed, as well as keeping the trolls out"

Angelfowl nods

Trilleth smiles, "But he let Zard in anyway. o:)"

Angelfowl giggles

Angelfowl says, "You do a very good job at that, I think you lock them out faster than anyone."

Djentsch says, "Zard isn't a troll Trilleth"

Djentsch says, "i can only try Angelfowl"

Angelfowl nods

Trilleth is fairly sure Zard has an alt who is a troll... he has everything else. :)

Meteu says, "Sorry about that folks."

Djentsch says, "the faster that i get rid of them, the less chance that anyone here has to hear what they say"

Jezz smiles, "feel relieved, Met? :)"

Angelfowl sits back rubbing her cheek grumbling about her evil brother.

Djentsch chuckles

Meteu asks, "Very much so:) Do you hit them with the infamous I-Beam first?"

Djentsch says, "brotherly love sis"

Djentsch chuckles

Angelfowl says, "Oh yeah, that's what you call it"

Salvador says, "he used to hit Zand all teh time"

Djentsch says, "ok, let me explain about the whole baseball bat / I-beam deal"

Meteu smiles, "Dj, kindly return my brain when you are done with it:)"

Zardoz consults his org chart and mumbles, "Troll... Troll.... Damn! I knew I forgot something."

Djentsch chuckles

Djentsch says, "the whole baseball bat / I-beam thing came about when the rank of Trader was opened to normal players"

Zardoz asks, "There are normal players?"

Djentsch says, "that is, ones who weren't part of the Test Team"

Zardoz thinks no one here is "normal"

Trilleth shrugs. "Rumors of them."

Salvador says, "I saw one once"

Djentsch says, "once i learned how to work Futures myself, it was found out that I had a nack for them and for teaching people how do to them"

Djentsch says, "there were times when players would try to dig deeper into that aspect of the game than what was needed"

Djentsch says, "so i'd use, depending on the player, either the bat of the beam"

Djentsch says, "for those that don't know, I'm the one who taught Catspaws how do do Futures"

Djentsch says, "along with many of the other players who now own a planet"

Angelfowl exclaims, "Jessecka taught me!"

Meteu asks, "How did you get so good at Futures?"

Djentsch says, "and I taught her"

Salvador says, "he tested them first"

Zardoz says, "he's a gypsy."

Djentsch thinking of his teacher, brings a smile to his face

Salvador says, "Insider trading"

Djentsch says, "we had a player called Ferrie (i think i spelt that right) who taught me how to do them"

Meteu asks, "What was the inspiration for your planet?"

Djentsch says, "it took her a while do get it through my thick skull, but i did get the hang of them"

Djentsch says, "well, that should be clear as day"

Angelfowl exclaims, "I know!"

Zardoz asks, "Dj likes sailboats?"

Djentsch says, "my wife current real life Marina"

Salvador says, "act thinks it was Fererri"

Zardoz says, "You're right Sal."

Salvador says, "oops"

Djentsch thinks that Salvador messed that up

Zardoz raises his drink to another departed player.

Angelfowl says, "Ferreri? hm, miss seeing her around."

Djentsch says, "just a sec folks"

Djentsch says, "ok, i'm back"

Salvador wonders who is going to say it

Trilleth wakes up and wipes the corner of her mouth surreptiously.

Meteu asks, "You modeled your system after Russia, your wife and what else?"

Djentsch says, "here is why my system is called Russia, and etc"

Djentsch says, "as most of you all know, my current wife is from Russia. what better way to pay honor to her, and to learn more about where she is from than to design a planet based on the country she is from"

Meteu asks, "Are there any questions from the audience?"

Djentsch says, "now, besides a few places, like the exchange and my offices, though it too has some useful information in it, all locations on Marina, are based on real places"

Trilleth raises her hand.

Djentsch says, "and the closet that is in the Mustang club"

Meteu asks, "Mystery closet?"

Djentsch chuckles

Salvador says, "I think Trill has her hand raised"

Djentsch says, "the closet in the Mustang club is for Rowan. a dear friend of mine"

Djentsch says, "take a look at it and you'll see how it fits her"

Salvador Misses Rowan

Angelfowl says, "I remember her"

Djentsch asks, "Trilleth, you have a question?"

Trilleth dozes back off as her drugs wear off.

Salvador pokes trill

Trilleth asks, "Oh, sorry. Are you out of paint yet, DJ?"

Djentsch says, "nope"

Djentsch says, "i've an unlimited supply of paint"

Trilleth puts her hands over her mouth and mutters, muffled, "Then I have no questions."

Angelfowl giggles

Djentsch hasn't even started to tound a 1/4 of the colors that are out there

Djentsch chuckles

Angelfowl raises her hand

Djentsch says, "sorry, that should have been touched"

Djentsch says, "yes Sis"

Angelfowl says, "What's your SECOND favorite planet ;P"

Djentsch says, "to tell the truth sis, i don't know yet. I'm still trying to get to them all so that I can pick one"

Angelfowl smiles, "Fun :)"

Angelfowl still hasn't looked at them all herself

Djentsch says, "i have to be fair and look at them all before i make a choice"

Jezz asks, "How often do you leave your planet, Dj?"

Angelfowl asks, "Never?"

Djentsch says, "Jezz, that all depends"

Jezz chuckles

Jezz asks, "counting trips to whack people with an i-beam?"

Djentsch says, "i say that because most times lately, i only leave it to make Staff meetings"

Djentsch says, "nope, not counting those"

Djentsch says, "there use to be a time when i would leave it at least 5 times a day to help find a player who was lost and guide them back to the LP of the planet they were on"

Salvador thinks Dj has a remote thwapper

Meteu smiles, "Now you have your trusty assistant:)"

Djentsch says, "nope. no such creature exists Salvador"

Angelfowl asks, "assistant?"

Djentsch says, "no, not really Meteu, unless you're talking about the auto mapper that comes with the FedTerm program"

Djentsch says, "and if you're talking about Nightwatch, i don't use them that much eather"

Meteu smiles, "I was referring to Jezz:)"

Salvador says, "hrumph"

Angelfowl gives her brother a look

Djentsch says, "there is nothing like going to a planet and showing a player how to find their way back"

Jezz blinks at Meteu

Salvador says, "used to be easier when we had a Flollow command"

Djentsch says, "though I am the one who trained Jezz in the ways of being a good Mod, i don't make her do things like that"

Salvador sigh

Djentsch says, "that might be the case Salvador, but still isn't as much fun... at least I don't think so"

Meteu asks, "Are there any other questions for Dj?"

Djentsch says, "there is nothing like going to a planet that you haven't been to before, and finding your way around without using the auto mapper"

Djentsch says, "and yes, i was around here in Fed2 before the auto mapper was published"

Angelfowl exclaims, "Me too!"

Zardoz reaches for Jezz's comm unit so he can play with the fancy buttons.

Meteu smiles, "that automapper is a lifesaver:)"

Salvador says, "Even the auto mapper doesn't tell you much except where ther might be a space to move to"

Angelfowl remembers why she stayed in Lucky 7 saloon all the time... she found mapping a pain.

Jezz makes sure her comm unit is out of Zardoz's reach

Djentsch says, "true... but only if there is a place to go, if the current location isn't a one way location"

Meteu asks, "Do you still make maps by hand Dj?"

Fletcher has left.

Djentsch says, "i've never made a map by hand. all of my maps are in my head"

Djentsch says, "i tried once, and it just didn't work out the way it should have"

Meteu asks, "Are there any other questions for Dj?"

Djentsch says, "i've found that my memory, at least that of Sol, is better than any map i can draw"

Djentsch thinks that this M&G is a lot easier than the one where he did it with his wife

Meteu says, "If there are no other questions we'll end the officiall Meet and Greet."

Djentsch says, "my Fed wife that is :-)"
